Women's Bible Studies
These are for women of any age and stage of life. We meet weekly during term-time to study the Bible, encourage each other and pray. Our aims are to know Jesus better and to make him better known. We'd love you to join us if you are already a Christian or if you're wanting to find out more about the Christian faith.
Groups meet in the church centre during term-time on Tuesday afternoons (2 - 3.15pm), Wednesday mornings (9.30-11am) and Thursday mornings (10.30am - 12noon).
On Wednesday mornings there is also a crèche for babies and pre-school children (in a large, safe, fun environment with lots of toys). There are ample toilets and baby changing facilities to hand.
For more details contact Jenny Williams using the form below.
This short course is ideal for those investigating the Christian faith for the first time or wanting to review what being a Christian is all about.
By looking at Mark's gospel together we will discover who Jesus is, why he came and what it means to follow him.
There is a free crèche (in a large, safe, fun environment with lots of toys) for babies and pre-school children. We meet on Wednesday mornings in the Church Centre from 9.30 - 11am.
For more details take a look at our courses page or contact Jenny Williams.
We run a range of additonal courses for members of St John's who want to study the Bible in a little more depth.
Each course runs for ten sessions (usually fortnightly) on either a Thursday or a Friday morning at the church centre and includes an Introduction to the Bible, Old Testament 1 (Genesis to Deuteronomy) and New Testament 1 (the Gospels).
We have a weekend away each spring and a women's morning in the summer. Both of these are geared towards building up the faith of those who are already Christians.
Throughout the year there are guest events for those wanting to know more about the Christian faith.
These guest events include a Christmas Craft Fair in November (with a short talk) and other morning/evening events (with a longer talk and time for questions afterwards).
For more details keep an eye out on our events page.
