The Need for the Messiah

Saturday 9 March, 7.30pm at St John's Church

An evening of choral music, telling the story of the Bible and explaining our need for Jesus.

Music performed by St John's Choir and Orchestra and conducted by Craig Hudson.

Music includes Handel's Zadok the Priest and extracts from Handel's Messiah and Haydn's Creation.

Refreshments included. Optional £5 donation towards costs.

  • Tuesday 30 Jan (Sops and Altos 7.30-8pm, Full 8-9pm, Tenors and Basses 9-9.30pm)
  • Friday 9 Feb (Full 7.30-9.30)
  • Thursday 15 Feb (Full 7.30-9.30)
  • Tuesday 20 Feb (Full 7.30-9.30)
  • Tuesday 5 Mar (Full 7.30-9.30)
Choir and orchestra:

Orchestra only and jazz rehearsals tbc.

Music

Music at St John's is a mixture of traditional and contemporary music, seeking to help all of us praise God and encourage one another. Music is generally led by singers with a band (generally made up of orchestral instruments, rhythm section and organ) - with musicians drawn from the church family. New musicians are always welcome - please get in touch using the form below.
